Ironically only days after Henry Surtees death as many may now know Formula one driver Felipe Massa had a similar incident. The latest news is that he has received a skull fracture with some bleeding on the brain. It happened in the second shoot out session of qualifying on Saturday. Felipe is my favourite F1 driver so I am hoping he makes a recovery. He is currently in a life threatening state but is classed as stable according to associated press.

I really hope he pulls through. This just highlights the dangers of grand prix racing. Apparently it was a damper/part of a leaf spring that hit Felipe. I’m still waiting to see what happens and to be updated on Felipe’s progress. I just wish him well and hope his family stay strong at this difficult time :(
